At Nourishing Health we practice a full spectrum of yoga which includes pranayama (breathwork), asana (movement), mantra (sacred chanting), meditation and discussion. Our yogis are dedicated to ensuring every person is cared for through mindful and heart-centred practice.
We do things this way to intentionally honour the principles of yogic medicine and to uphold the scientific findings that illuminate how our bodies and states of being are transformed by the practice for the long-haul.
BIPOC Community Yoga
8-week series starts Jan 30th.
Monday nights 8pm to 9:30pm at Breathing Space Yoga & Wellness, 541 Main St E, Hamilton, ON
Join Nrinder for this hatha yoga class designed exclusively for people who self-identify as Black, Indigenous or as People of Colour (BIPOC). We will cover the foundation of yogic practice integrating breath work, asana and meditation with an emphasis on self love and lunar energy. Nrinder hopes this practice provides a safer and brave space for people of the BIPOC community to align with their own mind, body and spirits while also fostering a sense of community among the practitioners. We will end each session with an opportunity for group discussion, sangha style, sharing your experiences and offerings.
This community class is offered on a sliding scale basis with advance registration preferred. No one will be turned away for lack of funds and drop ins are always welcome.
$40 – $5/session x 8 weeks
$80 – $10/session x 8 weeks
$120 – $15/session x 8 weeks
